I always have fun finding similar trends between fashion and home furnishings. Some people probably think that these two fields are very different from one another, but in reality, they really aren’t. In my book, designers are designers. Whether their specialty is clothing or interior, they all have great creative eyes that always seem to correspond with each other. I don’t know if you all remember that I told you that mixed prints are very in this fashion season. It seems that this is also the case in interior design. From colorful poufs and pillows, to shoes and dresses, be resourceful with what you have, and mix what you got! Have fun and don’t think that you are going too overboard, because when it comes to mixing, you can’t go wrong.

After reading Refinery29, I was definitely just as confused as they were about the whole drop crotch skinny jean look. What the hell is going on?! First of all, this look does not look flattering whatsoever. I don’t care if you’re fat, skinny, tall, short, green, blue, white or black, nobody under any circumstances can pull this heinous look off. You know me, I am all about trying new looks, and I have really become a fan of drop crotch pants, but not ones that happen to also be skinny jeans. Maybe I am being a little harsh, I just can’t get myself to understand who in the world would think that this could possibly be the next big fashion statement? I would love to hear all of my reader’s thoughts, so feel free to post your comments!

This season try to let more sides of yourself show by stepping up  your wardrobe. All of you ladies out there, play with different garments inspired by sexy lingerie and made  with lace. I know this may seem a little extreme, but who says you can’t feel as sexy out and about during the day as you do in the bedroom? That’s right, flaunt what you got girls, because we only get to live once! Use this season as an excuse to try something out of the box.

I can always count on my wonderful Aunt Elbie to send me all of the new amazing products that are out there. She works for Chanel make-up so whenever I see something that catches my eye, I always send her a quick email to see if she can send me anything. I received my new favorite nail polish: Chanel’s Nouvelle Vague. It is the perfect pastel color and great for Spring. I am urging all of you to try it this sunny season, because it will give your outfit just a tiny splash of color that will make you stand out from the crowd.

Brigitte Bardot is one of the most beautiful woman alive… in my book at least. If any of you don’t know who she is, she is a former French actress, model, and singer. Her style is unforgettable, and lately, I have been very inspired by her.

Sex & The City 2 is only weeks away, and I can’t get it off my mind! I have looked at pictures on set, have watched the trailers multiple times, and still haven’t gotten my fix. I think most girls’ dream is to live a day in the life of the unforgettable, Carrie Bradshaw.

All fashionistas want to meet the famous Vogue editor in chief, Anna Wintour. Well apparently now, if you are willing to bid over $6,500, you can have the chance to not only meet her, but get tickets to a fashion show during New York Fashion Week, get an Alexander Wang duffle bag, a Christian Louboutin $1000 certificate, and much, much more! How crazy is that? What’s good is that all of the proceeds benefit the Art of Elysium. I think that a starting bid of $6,500 is pretty low considering what the winner will get, don’t you think? If I could, I would be outbidding everyone in site!  (Refinery29).

Australian Fashion Week just happened and I was blown away by what I saw. One of my favorite collections was by Rachel Gilbert. She had a very simple yet chic collection that had me googly-eyed for hours. I like that I can actually picture real women wearing these looks all over the world. That’s always a plus, right? I think a lot of designers design garments that are hard to wear in real life. Don’t get me wrong, even if it can’t be worn, I love seeing it all. I think after you guys see a few photos from Rachel’s collection, you will see that these are all designs that can be seen in reality. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
