Who can believe that collections for 2011 are already being shown? Time truly does fly by. Dior’s 2011 cruise collection just hit the runway in Shanghai with inspirations from Brigitte Bardot (how funny that I just did a post on her), and French Cinema, this line had everything I could possibly wish for. All I have to say about the sweet collection is that I hope I win the lottery so I can buy every single look! After seeing all of the fabulous get ups, I had an urge to go back in time and play dress up with my Barbie dolls! Now that I think of it, I don’t need to go back in time, I can always play dress up! To read more about the collection, or see more photos from the runway show, check out Harpers Bazaar.

Australian Fashion Week just happened and I was blown away by what I saw. One of my favorite collections was by Rachel Gilbert. She had a very simple yet chic collection that had me googly-eyed for hours. I like that I can actually picture real women wearing these looks all over the world. That’s always a plus, right? I think a lot of designers design garments that are hard to wear in real life. Don’t get me wrong, even if it can’t be worn, I love seeing it all. I think after you guys see a few photos from Rachel’s collection, you will see that these are all designs that can be seen in reality. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Wow is all I can say about the Versace Spring/Summer 2010 shoe collection. The designs, that were inspired from Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland, are seriously mesmerizing. These are definitely not your typical shoe that you would see at a department store. To me, these are the definition of fashion: fierce, edgy, and one-of-a-kind products. I can look at this line all day, everyday. To see more from Versace’s full collection, click here.

As I was reading In Style, I came across an article that had the first photos of Nicole Richie’s Fall 2010 for Winter Kate. I must say I am very impressed. When I think of Ms. Richie, I totally think of the Boho queen. This collection is way more chic and fabulous. They have everything from vests and cigarette pants to a few of Nicole’s usual flowy printed garments. It really seems that she has stepped her game up and I am not complaining! The only thing to complain about is fall being months away!

There are those who hate schlepping themselves over to the mall to try on massive amounts of shoes to find that perfect Cinderella fit. Then there are those who jump out of bed at the crack of dawn to get ready for a full day of shoe shopping. Can you guess which category I fall into? Yeah, you are right. I do get unbelievably excited to go shoe shopping, there is something about it that gets me weak in the knees. For those of you who don’t have weakened knees, I suggest that you look at Pierre Hardy’s Spring 2010 shoe collection, because by the end of it, trust me, your knees will be weak. There is a whole variety of funky fresh shoes that will please all. From the flat sandals, to the platform shoes with an edge, that will make you the center of attention, this Spring seems to be bringing us nothing but happiness. I am only posting a few pairs, but be sure to check out Pierre Hardy’s site for the full monty!

Okay, I am a huge Louis fan, and love mostly all of the bags that sit still on the brightly lit shelves at the Vuitton stores. Even though I am a big fan, I do get pissed about some things with this high-end brand. Firs off, it only takes about $200 to make a Louis bag, why in god’s name is one bag priced at a painful $2000? They mark their products up way to much, and whats annoying is that they can get away with it because they already have a huge consumer market. Another thing that annoys me is that this is one of the only brands that never puts their items on sale. Instead of putting an item on sale, they will burn the product. To me, that is just ridiculous, why would you rather do that than to sell it at a cheaper price? Almost every other brand goes on sale and it doesn’t make them look cheap, it actually makes their consumers happy! As you can tell I do have some anger built up with this brand, and my juices started to flow when I saw that LV is coming out with a trash bag purse. If you don’t already know this, Marc Jacobs is the head designer over at Louis Vuitton, so I can only ask, what were you thinking?! Not only is it a trash bag with a leather handle, but it is going to retail at a shocking $1,960! Can you believe that? How about, I will make any of you a trash bag purse and only charge you $1000, that seems fair doesn’t it?! I do really love this company, but sometimes I am so confused with their designs. It is almost like they are trying to see how much crazy things they can do to their consumers before they lose them.
