I always have fun finding similar trends between fashion and home furnishings. Some people probably think that these two fields are very different from one another, but in reality, they really aren’t. In my book, designers are designers. Whether their specialty is clothing or interior, they all have great creative eyes that always seem to correspond with each other. I don’t know if you all remember that I told you that mixed prints are very in this fashion season. It seems that this is also the case in interior design. From colorful poufs and pillows, to shoes and dresses, be resourceful with what you have, and mix what you got! Have fun and don’t think that you are going too overboard, because when it comes to mixing, you can’t go wrong.

This season try to let more sides of yourself show by stepping up your wardrobe. All of you ladies out there, play with different garments inspired by sexy lingerie and made with lace. I know this may seem a little extreme, but who says you can’t feel as sexy out and about during the day as you do in the bedroom? That’s right, flaunt what you got girls, because we only get to live once! Use this season as an excuse to try something out of the box.

I can always count on my wonderful Aunt Elbie to send me all of the new amazing products that are out there. She works for Chanel make-up so whenever I see something that catches my eye, I always send her a quick email to see if she can send me anything. I received my new favorite nail polish: Chanel’s Nouvelle Vague. It is the perfect pastel color and great for Spring. I am urging all of you to try it this sunny season, because it will give your outfit just a tiny splash of color that will make you stand out from the crowd.

A trend that is going around this Spring season is wearing socks with sandals of any sort. I know, I know, you all are probably thinking what the heck, that is definitely not in style. Think again, because it for sure is. We saw it on the runway for Spring 2010, and it is slowly starting to hit the city streets. What do you all think? Do you love it or hate it? I happen to love it, but you have to be careful with how you put your full ensemble together.
