Gold Surprises

Don’t you just love vintage Vogue editorials? I can’t get enough of them. While I was on The Fashion Spot, I spotted an editorial from 1977 that was featured in U.S. Vogue, photographed by Deborah Turbeville. Enjoy!

Photo Shoot

I want to apologize for my horrible blogging skills yesterday. I was given an amazing opportunity to assist a full-blown stylist, Sharon Maloney, on one of her shoots for Collective magazine. When I was taking styling last semester, Sharon came in to talk with my class and I was blown away by her work. I got in contact with her back in November, and was beyond excited when she sent me an email a few weeks ago, seeing if I was available to help her on an upcoming shoot. The concept was tribal-like, with colorful mixed patterns, and lots of layering. She really wanted it to be crazy and not to make too much sense, so we didn’t hold ourselves back. There was a ridiculous amount of designer merchandise from Marc Jacobs, and Lanvin, to Jean Paul Gaultier, and Comme Des Garcons, I was like a little kid in a candy shop! She let me give my input on looks and give ideas that I had, and I felt completely a part of the whole shoot. The photographer was brilliant, the model was gorgeous, and the shoot was beyond special with the group that was working on it. I seriously had the time of my life and couldn’t feel more lucky. Despite the sweltering hot weather, painful sunburns, 2.5 hour traffic jam to Petaluma, cell phones dying, no GPS, barely making it to our second location that was a Lama farm before sunset, and finally getting home after a 13 hour day, I would do it over in an instant! I wanted to share a few photos I was able to get, because this is going to be a day I will never forget. Make sure you check the June issue of Collective Magazine online to see the wonderful final pictures!

Marie Claire: Italia

When people think of a circus they typically think of creepy midgets, animals, lots of make-up, and popcorn. Well, at least that’s what I think of. All of that has changed after I was looking at Refinery29, and saw an editorial spread from the Italian Marie Claire, that has me thinking that circus’ are actually pretty sexy. I love the vintage look and feeling to this spread, the outstanding clothes, and obviously the beautiful models. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.

Alejandro

I am a huge fan of Lady Gaga, and the fan cover her new single, Alejandro, has been released. As I was reading YVY magazine I noticed the inviting photo. Not much to say about it, except it is HOT. Of course, we shouldn’t expect any less from Ms. Gaga.

A few days ago I did a post on Naomi Campbell starring in the Vogue Russia. Today as I was looking on Refinery29, I found some photos from the actual editorial, one word: HOTNESS! Seriously, as I was looking I felt like I had to turn the air on, and start taking some clothes off! This spread looks sexy and edgy, and I can’t wait to purchase the new mag!

Jen & Gerard

I don’t know about you guys but I am anxiously waiting to see Jennifer Anniston and Gerard Butler’s spread in W Magazine. The cover is so inviting, and they look unbelievably sexy. I could only get a few of the photos that will be in the mag next month, so I guess it’s just a little teaser for us all. Come sooner, please.
