Mecox Gardens

After looking at Elle Decor, I came across a picture of an amazing window at Mecox Gardens. I don’t think there is anything that I dislike about this seductive area. The dark wall colors, and gold accents to the zebra print chair, this room is a whole lot of sexiness that has to be a part of my apartment!

I always have fun finding similar trends between fashion and home furnishings. Some people probably think that these two fields are very different from one another, but in reality, they really aren’t. In my book, designers are designers. Whether their specialty is clothing or interior, they all have great creative eyes that always seem to correspond with each other. I don’t know if you all remember that I told you that mixed prints are very in this fashion season. It seems that this is also the case in interior design. From colorful poufs and pillows, to shoes and dresses, be resourceful with what you have, and mix what you got! Have fun and don’t think that you are going too overboard, because when it comes to mixing, you can’t go wrong.

So this morning when I was doing my usual run through on Ebay I found myself looking at things that were way out of my price range. This only motivates me even more to work hard and get paid in order to support my terrible shopping habit that I have become accustomed to. This beautiful vintage Chanel magnifying glass necklace is to die for. I love how long the chain is, and it is such a plus that it has such a chic magnifier at the end of it. You would never be able to tell that, that was actually what it was. I am obsessed with this necklace, and if I could afford it, I would have it in an instant. I think most people would.

After reading Refinery29, I was definitely just as confused as they were about the whole drop crotch skinny jean look. What the hell is going on?! First of all, this look does not look flattering whatsoever. I don’t care if you’re fat, skinny, tall, short, green, blue, white or black, nobody under any circumstances can pull this heinous look off. You know me, I am all about trying new looks, and I have really become a fan of drop crotch pants, but not ones that happen to also be skinny jeans. Maybe I am being a little harsh, I just can’t get myself to understand who in the world would think that this could possibly be the next big fashion statement? I would love to hear all of my reader’s thoughts, so feel free to post your comments!

Coach has really started to come around. I have been a fan of this company for a while, but sometimes I feel that they lack a certain something in their items. Don’t get me wrong, I think they are a fabulous company, and for the most part, they have great things. I have a few bags by them that I love, and will keep forever. I found a fun white leather fringe bag by them that I am desperate to have. I love that it is a cross body bag, it’s white (perfect for Summer), and it isn’t a massive size. These are all important factors when you are trying to find a new bag. In my book, this definitely passes the test.

This season try to let more sides of yourself show by stepping up  your wardrobe. All of you ladies out there, play with different garments inspired by sexy lingerie and made  with lace. I know this may seem a little extreme, but who says you can’t feel as sexy out and about during the day as you do in the bedroom? That’s right, flaunt what you got girls, because we only get to live once! Use this season as an excuse to try something out of the box.

I have always been a huge armoires person. I think these pieces are beautiful to have in your home, not only because they look amazing, but because they can store a lot of good stuff. I myself, happen to love old vintage looking ones. They are out of my price range, but I know that I can find an inexpensive one someday at a flea market, and touch it up, I just haven’t found one that has grabbed me yet. You need to have patience when you are looking for a nice fixer upper, because if you just go ahead and get the first thing you see, chances are it won’t turn out the way you wanted.

I can always count on my wonderful Aunt Elbie to send me all of the new amazing products that are out there. She works for Chanel make-up so whenever I see something that catches my eye, I always send her a quick email to see if she can send me anything. I received my new favorite nail polish: Chanel’s Nouvelle Vague. It is the perfect pastel color and great for Spring. I am urging all of you to try it this sunny season, because it will give your outfit just a tiny splash of color that will make you stand out from the crowd.
