I am a big fan of children’s clothing and am surrounded by it almost everyday, since I work in a kid’s boutique. LeCirque, the boutique I work in, has the best clothes for kids around by far. I think that the world of children’s clothing has been growing very quickly over the past few years. More and more designers are signing contracts with companies to do a kids line (Stella McCartney is doing Gap Kids…I told you she gets around!), Marc Jacobs, and Dolce & Gabanna. Stores like Jcrew also have one of the nicest looking kids lines I have seen, and their clothes aren’t as expensive as designers. I am so jealous there wasn’t this kind of stuff when I was younger. It would have saved me from a lot of embarrassment. However, it is hilarious looking at old home videos and pictures of what horrendous things my sister and I were put in. Anyways, the question I have is, is it really smart to buy your kids such expensive things when they grow at such a fast pace? Most of you would probably answer no. But, I don’t see why kids can’t be chic like the rest of us! If you actually took the time to look at the detailing on some of the clothes that are made for kids, you would understand why it costs an arm and a leg. I love when I see a fabulous dressed kid, it makes me so happy! I can’t wait until I have my own kids, because I know I am going to drop a ton of money on beautiful things for them to wear. I am hoping their grandparents will do the same! Hey, I never was able to wear designer clothes when I was so young, so I want to make sure my kids get that opportunity. I am not complaining about how I looked when I was a child. If I didn’t look the way I did, we wouldn’t have as many laughs as we do now. All I am saying is, if you have the extra money, upgrade your kid’s wardrobes. They will thank you later on.
Okay, how cute are they?! I can’t take it! If you have kids, they need these styles from Jcrew.
